Human Resources Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION

WIPTEC, a leader in order picking for the retail and e-commerce industry, is experiencing strong growth and is looking for a passionate leader to fill the position of Human Resources Consultant.

The position is based in Longueuil, St-Hubert sector. Currently under construction of its second phase of expansion, this automated, state-of-the-art distribution center will eventually have more than 1,700,000 square feet and over 1,000 jobs.

The following day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing HR processes, identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions to maximize effectiveness and efficiency;
  • Conduct various meetings with employees (30-60-90, operations team support, employee support, etc.);
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding and integration sessions and exit interviews;
  • Develop, implement and provide expertise in regulatory matters, accident investigation and occupational injury management (CNESST file);
  • Lead, prepare and document the agendas of the health and safety committee meetings
  • Manage group insurance: enrollment, termination, change of coverage, recovery of disability and maternity cheques;
  • Foster a sense of belonging among employees by acting as a point of contact for unionized employees;
  • Gather and consolidate information related to the weekly payroll processing in order to ensure the link with the finance department;
  • Ensure compliance with the collective agreement;
  • Follow up on OHS, disability, maternity, work permits, training (CPR, PDSB, etc.);
  • Support managers in the management of administrative files;
  • Document HR processes by creating procedures and user manuals;
  • Participate in various organizational development projects.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or any other field deemed equivalent ;
  • Have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in human resources
  • Be a member of the Ordre CRHA (an asset);
  • Experience in a unionized environment (an asset);
  • Have excellent work organization skills;
  • Be bilingual in French and English, spoken and written.
